A story of Navdeep and Harman, two young college students who fall in love, making their life so different and beautiful... and difficult.

Fellow students of Punjab University, Navdeep Singh and Harmaan Kaur, fall in love with each other. She introduces him to her dad, Retired Colonel Thakur Singh, who instantly disapproves and wants his daughter to marry a groom from the U.S.. Navdeep's dad, Retired Major Balwinder Singh Brar, also opposes this alliance, and wants his son to complete his studies before getting married. Balwinder subsequently changes his mind but wants Thakur to adapt to tradition and approach him - but Thakur refuses to do so. The couple then conspire with their fellow students and arrange for their parents to meet on neutral ground. It is this decision that will shatter and change their lives forever.

A cop has to investigate the motive behind sinister posters that have been put up in the city and track down the person who sends a threat letter to his adopted daughter.

A young woman has a strange premonition one night of her sister being murdered. Her sister soon goes missing. Five years later, she has another vision of an unknown woman being murdered and seeks the help of her brother-in-law to help her save the possible victim.

The night after the Japanese bombing of Madras, Rajan (Sivaji Ganesan) a radio engineer, is murdered while preparing to leave town with a bag full of cash. A police detective Sivanandan (Jaavar Seetharaman) investigates the case and finds each of his suspects coming up with a different retelling of the events of the night of the murder. A brisk, atmospheric film, brilliant for its time and given that it was made in the constraints of the Madras studio system that experimented with little outside of mythological epics and social dramas.
